Plans
In 2016 the family had a decision to make. It was becoming increasingly obvious that looking after two boats was becoming a burden. Also running a deep drafted boat like Owl was becoming more onerous. We decided to sell Owl and have Hampton fully restored. (see narrowboatowl.com).
We drew up plans to make better use of the hold. The main aim was to replace the problem-laden wooden back cabin with a steel one. We wanted, as far as possible, an historic boat that would be trouble-free for a good few years.
