Heating  and electrics 2007

The main cabin was heated by one large radiator.  The Refleks diesel heater also provided hot water via a calorifer.

The heater was set up so that the radiators could be heated independently of the calorifier.  This was especially useful when the cabin needed to be heated quickly.

In hot weather the radiator circuit can be isolated.  In this way the calorifier can be fully heated in about 40 minutes,

We chose chrome plumbing in order to be in keeping with the 30s look.  There is no brass or copper in the main cabin.  The Refleks stove sits on a plinth which can catch any diesel overflow or drips.
