Hampton in 2016

For several years we were able to enjoy using Hampton after most of the restoration had been completed in 2012.

The main cabin needed no attention and had become a comfortable and stylish living space.

However, all was not well with the back cabin.  Cracks were beginning to appear in the fibre-glassed suface, indicating that the underlying wood was in a poor state. As the wood dired out it shrank. After many years of patching and cosmetic work we decided to let Warwickshire Flyboats solve the problem once and for all.

In November 2016 Hampton arrived in Warwickshire for radical treatment.

For many years Hampton was paired with Owl.  This picture was taken in 2014 at Stoke Bruerne.
